Tashkent city administration refutes rumors on demolition of old building of the State Conservatory in Darkhan
Appearance of all sorts of rumors and fake information about demolition of facilities in Tashkent continues in social networks, the press service of the capital city administration reports.
“According to one of such rumors, allegedly, an old building of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan located in the area of Darkhan (Mirzo-Ulugbek district, Mustakillik Avenue), is being prepared for demolition” the official said.
The administration and directorate of Mirzo Ulugbek Business city stated that demolition of this historic building has never been planned.
It should be reminded that information about demolition also appeared on the official Facebook page of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the data of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, the first professional musical educational institution of the city was established in December 1924. On May 11, 1925, it received the status of Tashkent Musical Technical School. In 1936, the Technical School was reorganized into the Tashkent State Musical College and in 1939, it was named after Hamza Hakimzada Niyazi.
On June 12, 2001, by a government decree, the school was transformed into a music college.
