Uzbekistan suspends Eid al-Adha and Friday prayers

Uzbekistan is temporarily suspending Friday prayers in mosques. Also, Eid al-Adha prayers will not be performed, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has issued a relevant statement.
The decision is based on the current situation with the spread of the coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
Other prayers (five times a day) should be performed in open areas of mosques, wearing masks and observing social distance.
People who have a high body temperature, cough and other signs of the disease, as well as the elderly and children, are advised not to attend mass prayers.
