Based on the PPP and feasibility of the project, it is planned to announce a tender in the second quarter of 2021 and determine the winner of the tender in the second quarter of 2022. In addition, the estimated construction period is 24 months.
Another project – construction and commissioning of the Tashkent-Samarkand toll road is being developed with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Preparation of the project’s initial feasibility study is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The tender will start in early 2021 and end in July (construction period is 24 months).
In addition, a strategy for road development in Uzbekistan until 2030 is being developed in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and a master plan for the transport sector is being developed in cooperation with the World Bank.
