Agency for Protecting Consumer Rights established in Uzbekistan

Agency for Protecting Consumer Rights has been created under the Antimonopoly Committee of Uzbekistan.
Main activities of the agency will be introducing a common policy in the field of protecting consumer rights, regulating the advertising market, monitoring the safety and quality of goods and improving the consumer legal literacy of the population.
A presidential decree on the creation of this agency and the fund for protecting consumer rights was earlier published on the regulation.gov.uz portal for public discussion.
It was initially intended to establish the agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
