Head of Navbahor district public education department killed at home

In the Navoi region, head of the Navbahor district public education department was killed at home. 

As the regional police department of Navoi reported to Kun.uz correspondent, head of the Navbahor district public education department had been brutally murdered by her husband.

“According to the preliminary investigation, citizen Sh. R, born in 1976 in Navoi, had come into family conflict with his wife M. A. On September 6, 2019, at approximately 4:00 pm, he came to his wife's apartment located on the Muruvvat Street in the Yangiyul mahalla, Navbahor district. He entered the bedroom of M. A. through a window, hid himself behind the wardrobe, and waited for his wife to enter the room.

At about 8:20 pm, when M. A. entered the room, Sh. R. attacked her with a kitchen knife. He stabbed her several times in the neck, chest and abdomen. Inflicting bodily injuries, he fled from the scene. As a result, M. A.  died on the spot. 

On the fact of murder, a criminal case has been initiated against Sh. R. under Article 97 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code and the offender was detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedural Code.

Currently, an investigation is underway.
