According to the Tashkent city administration, special services are actively removing advertising structures lacking proper authorization. These efforts aim to maintain order and uphold the aesthetic appearance of the city.
Unauthorized advertisements are said to violate urban beautification regulations and disrupt the visual harmony of streets and districts. They obstruct pedestrian pathways – posing particular challenges for people with limited mobility – and block road edges, thereby endangering road safety by obscuring traffic signs. Additionally, these unapproved installations have damaged engineering networks, including irrigation systems, and contributed to flooding in certain areas during the rainy season.
The city administration is urging business owners, individual entrepreneurs, and tenants to voluntarily remove illegal structures in order to avoid fines and additional expenses.
It is also emphasized that the only legal basis for placing outdoor advertisements in Tashkent is through documentation issued by the city’s authorized bodies.
