Consulate-General of Uzbekistan in Kazan planned to be opened

On Sept. 27, members of the delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan met with representatives of the Executive Committee of Kazan City, KazanFirst reports.

According to the News Agency’s report, the sides discussed possible areas of cooperation.

“Consulate-General of Uzbekistan in Kazan is planned to be opened soon,” the Consul-General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg Mehriddin Khayriddinov said.

It is noted that the Uzbek side is now looking for a place for the new consulate.

The representatives of Uzbekistan emphasized the prospects of cooperation with Kazan and Tatarstan. As has been stated, there are many similarities between the republics in terms of religion, culture and other aspects of life.
