Tashkent hosts Regional Industry Fair and Cooperation Exchange

Regional Industry Fair and Cooperation Exchange of Tashkent and Tashkent Region has kicked off at “Uzkurgazmasavdo markazi” exhibition centre.

This year the event is attended by about 400 companies, which is 1.2 times more than in 2015. The stands present the capital’s and the Tashkent region’s industrial potential and demonstrate industrial products — realized in the framework of Localisation Programme and likely to be realised in future.

The fair-exchange also enables companies to identify the needs for the near future in the material and technical resources, equipment, accessories and spare parts for the further development of its own production.

The organisers noted that the past fairs showed that the depth of industrial inter-organisational cooperation is growing. This year’s exchange-fair presented all manufacturing branches.

- Here you can see here a wide spectrum of new products. The open platform of the exhibition centre displays automotive products. Our manufacturers produce spare parts and lubricants for different brands of cars. As usual, there is also textile industry and processing and food industries. One of the sectors is dedicated to sports goods. There are also many goods for children: toys, clothes, and medicine, - noted organiser of Regional Industry Fair and Cooperation Exchange Olga Larina.

Indeed, the product range at the fair is astounding. One of the departments exhibits presents cosmetic products fr om natural ingredients, which catches the eyes of all female visitors.

- These are salts for spa procedures. They soften the skin and relax the muscles. We also produce hand-made soap, which is a medical series designed by the city’s dermatologists. In addition, we have new products on the market, which have no counterparts elsewh ere, even in Russia. This is a sugaring paste, developed for men and women, - said participant of Regional Industry Fair and Cooperation Exchange Karlen Matosyan.

More than 17.5 thousand industrial enterprises operate in Tashkent and Tashkent region. As of the end of 2015, the total amount of industrial products manufactured made up 31.2 trillion soums. The range of products is constantly expanding and is becoming more diversified.

The organisers expect the total sum of contracts at the Regional Industry Fair and Cooperation Exchange will reach 72 billion dollars, while export agreements will comprise 100 million dollars.

At the end of the events, the best enterprises will be given special recognition.

The event will last until June 10.
