Bulgaria considers Uzbekistan as priority partner in Central Asia

A business forum “Bulgaria-Uzbekistan” took place in Sofia. Business circles of two states participated in the event.
The business forum is organized by the Executive Agency on issues of assisting to developing small and medium enterprises.

Over 60 Bulgarian and Uzbek companies, which are working in such industries as food industry, agriculture, wine production, textile industry and others, attended the forum.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Bulgaria Lyuben Petrov noted that the Bulgarian side is ready to realize concrete business initiatives such as exchange of business visits and organization of bilateral forums.

He said that Bulgaria is ready to support expansion of activities and cooperation between Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Bulgaria and Uzbekistan.

Petrov said that Uzbekistan and Bulgaria have good foreign economic relations and the sides are intending to develop long-term and mutual beneficial cooperation.

Lyuben Petrov added that Bulgaria considers Uzbekistan as its priority partner in Central Asia. He expressed hope that the relations between two states will develop and strengthen.

During the business forum, the participants got acquainted with economic and investment opportunities of the two countries, as well as the terms and conditions at the special industrial zones. The participants also discussed the implementation of joint projects
