The baby with 16 needles in his body, returned home from hospital

11-month-old Azizbek Abdumajidov recovered and returned home. As it turned out, Azizbek's mother was worried about the child's discomfort and dissatisfaction with his health condition.  Baby’s initial diagnosis showed that he had fever or kind of problem with his throat. The child and his mother were immediately taken to the Republican Emergency Medical Assistance Center after he had a x-ray examination and found  needles in his body.

After 9-hour long term operation, 13 needles were removed out of the body.

“Needles were in different parts in the child's body," said Doniyor Asadullayev, a doctor at the Republican Department of Emergency Medicine and chief of pediatric surgery department.

“The baby tortured by needles which were found in the baby's lower part of heart colon, urinary bladder, chest, neck, spine for two months. This operation is a rare and serious procedure in medicine. The child was in  a coma, a few days after surgery. Doctors tried to save his life. In such a challenging situation, preserving the lives of our patient is an indication of our unique potential of medicine. At the same time, there are three needles in the child's body that do not endanger his life. According to medical analysis, these needles have not had a negative impact on his health. If it disturbs the baby, it may be further removed by surgery”.

As the family returns home, Azizbek is under the control of regional doctors.
There is no accurate information on how needles appeared in Azizbek’s body. Doctors said that 11-month-old baby has never been able to swallow many such metals, and that there is no signs of injury in the esophagus and stomach.
