School text books dumped like trash
In one of the schools in Tashkent, text books for pupils were tossed like trash inside the school premises, the Facebook group “Communication with People” reports.
A Facebook user who shared the photo stated that the incident occurred in the secondary school number 210 in Tashkent. He says thousands of books from classics to textbooks were thrown out of the lorry like wood.
Some comments under the post are given below:
- “It is the beginning of our moral decline, though hard to believe. Maybe teachers and even the director of the school were obtuse enough to let it happen, but what was the lorry driver thinking of? Surely he should have had the senses to not toss the books like that?
- “We love bragging about our high spirituality, but do we really deserve it?”
- "These books, first of all, were in good shape and second of all, they're not out of date."
- “We hope Sherzod Shermatov will not leave the case overlooked.”
Most social network users are angry at this. Some even started making snide allusions:
- “How did they load the books into the truck, I am curious? Majority of teachers are women. Were they aided by some so-called “Men”?”
- "It would be physically impossible for one person to discard that many books."
- “I thought it to be a new kind of library.”
- “Alas… We seem to have reached the bottom of our moral decline. As the elderly say, “what someone desecrates, from it he will be deprived of.”
