Abdulaziz Kamilov receives U.S. delegation led by Major-General
On Wednesday, Sept. 19, the FM of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the U.S. delegation led by the Major General of the National Guard, Adjutant General of Mississippi Janson D. Boyles, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
As part of the delegation other high-ranking officials, in particular, member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Mississippi’s First district, Brigadier General in the Mississippi Army National Guard also arrived in the country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects of further improving bilateral contacts between Uzbekistan and the state of Mississippi in the context of bolstering US-Uzbekistan relations.
“General Janson D. Boyles shared his impressions of the meetings held in Tashkent that allowed to exchange views on prospects for cooperation between the National Guard of Mississippi and relevant structures of Uzbekistan,” reads the Ministry’s report.
The sides noted mutual interest in consolidating and developing positive trends in Uzbekistan – American dialogue, giving it a multifaceted and long-term character.
Pamela Spratlen, the U.S. Ambassador, did also attend the meeting.
