Ministry of Finance hosted a meeting with Williams College delegation
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation of Williams College (US) led by Rachel Jay Louis, the press service of the Ministry of Finance said.
It is noted that Uzbekistan has close cooperation with the US college in training qualified personnel. In particular, to date – starting from 2000 – eleven Uzbek specialists have improved their knowledge and skills in this educational institution.
At the meeting, Rachel Jay Louis gave detailed information about the special program of Williams College designed for Master’s Degree students. The program starts in June 2019 and lasts until August 2020.
The head of the delegation said the visit is aimed at further expanding cooperation in the field of training highly-qualified economists and financiers, which is what Uzbekistan needs to further develop its economic sector.
For information, Williams College is a private liberal arts college in Williamstown, Massachusetts, United States. It was established in 1793 with funds from the estate of Ephraim Williams. The college was ranked first in 2017 in the U.S. News & World Report's liberal arts ranking for the 15th consecutive year, and first among liberal arts colleges in the 2018 Forbes magazine ranking of America's Top Colleges.
