“Uzbekneftegas” JSC and ExxonMobil to accelerate the implementation of a common project

“Uzbekneftegas” hosted a meeting with representatives of Exxon Mobil, the press service of “Uzbekneftegas” JSC reports.

As ExxonMobil proved to be a reliable partner of “Uzbekneftegas” JSC during the implementation of the project “Cooperation in organization of production of base oils at the Fergana refinery (as licensor and equipment supplier), the authorities of the Uzbek company expressed their gratitude to the representatives of their foreign partners.

During the talks, the parties discussed further actions and measures to accelerate the project, in particular signing of license and engineering agreements, the possibility of optimizing prices, taking into account the updated configuration of the production process, as well as the possibility of obtaining additional base oils from the residual fraction.

The approximate cost of the project is $ 150 million and it is planned to be implemented in 2018-2021.

Exxon Mobil experts say this project is unique in the region. “Uzbekneftegas officials can be sure that ExxonMobil is ready to share experience and technologies for the successful implementation of this promising project,” Chief Operating Officer for Oil Refining and Gas Purification Technologies, Vice President of the company Shon Smith said.

It should be reminded that cooperation between the sides was established during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit to the United States in May this year.

ExxonMobil is a world-renowned multifunctional company which specializes in the development and supply of technologies for oil refining, gas processing, petrochemical production and large manufacturing industries.
