New rector appointed to Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports

In accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Oct. 1, 2018, Mahmudjon Boltaboyev was appointed new rector of the Uzbek State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan reports.

Mahmudjon Boltaboyev was born in 1969 in Andijan region. He graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics in 1993. Doctor of Economics, Professor.

Prior to that, Mr. Boltaboyev worked as Head of Department at the Cabinet of Ministers, Rector of Tashkent State University of Economics, and Director General of the Agency for Science and Technology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To date – since August this year – Komiljon Yarashev, deputy rector, has been serving as acting head of the university.
