Tashkent to cease the use of Mercedes-Benz buses manufactured in 2008-2009

Effective from October 13, 2018 «Toshshahartransxizmat» suspends the use of all Mercedes-Benz Low Floor buses, produced in 2008-2009.

Head of "Toshshahartransxizmat", Makhir Valiyev made this decision in order to ensure the safety of passengers due to recent fires that occurred consequently.

It should be noted that the last of them happened in the bus No. 95 on October 12 in the Uzbek capital. There were no casualties.

As quoted by "Toshshahartransxizmat", specialists will take necessary actions to identify the buses with repairing needs and personals responsible for the incident as well as the compensation for the damage.

"Toshshahartransxizmat" will purchase 120 SAZ LE 60 and MAN buses during the remaining three months of 2018 instead of the dismissed buses.
