Uzbekistan is not listed in the "Global Competitiveness Index"

Kazakhstan occupied the 59th place in the Global Competitiveness Index. It has maintained its previous position. The report was published on the website of the World Economic Forum.

Among Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan has improved its image by climbing up three lines in the ranking (97th place) and Tajikistan was positioned on the 102nd line (107th in 2017). 

Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are not listed on the rating.

The Global Competitiveness Index is calculated on the basis of 12 indicators. These include macroeconomic stability, consumer market, the labor market, the financial system, the volume of domestic market, the quality of the institutions, the infrastructure status, the level of access to information technology and modern communications, public health, education and skills, dynamics of business development and innovation.

There are 140 countries in the ranking. The top performers are: USA, Singapore and Germany. At the bottom of the list - Chad, Yemen, Haiti.
