Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) to launch a branch in Tashkent
On Oct. 19, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education hosted a meeting of the rector of MPEI (Moscow Energy Institute) N. Rogalyev, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekenergo" Ulugbek Mustafoyev and the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Inomjon Majidov, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to open the branch of MPEI National Research University in Tashkent.
Establishment of this university branch in Tashkent will allow:
• training of the personnel who are capable of solving important scientific and technical tasks in the energy sector;
• introduction of innovative projects aimed at increasing energy efficiency in the power system;
• conducting innovative researches in the field of energy.
MPEI National Research University, which was established in 1930, is one of the largest institutions of its kind, and is one of the leading technical universities in the world in the area of power engineering, electronics and IT. It is located in Moscow, Russia.
