Uzbekistan, Finland strengthen ties
On October 22, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland (with residence in Helsinki) Ms. Marja Elina Liivala.
Receiving her credentials, Abdulaziz Kamilov congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and wished her success in the new post.
During the talks, the sides discussed key issues of the Uzbek-Finnish relations and exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation in various fields. The parties agreed to strengthen ties within the UN and other international organizations.
The meeting also considered proposals for the next round of inter-MFA political consultations and the resumption of the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
