Finance Minister comments on the increase of bread price
On Oct. 23, the Ministry of Finance hosted an open dialogue with the participation of responsible specialists of the Ministry and representatives of the media outlets, Kun.uz correspondent reported.
Jamshid Kuchkarov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Finance, said that the increase in prices at this time differs from the previous ones and should help to reforms.
"For instance, we did not increase the price of bread, but rather liberalized it. The state does not sell anyone flour, bread, or electricity. It is an organization which should maintain the fair trade. These reforms aim not to raise the price, but to think of the market," Mr. Kuchkarov said.
