Fines for using mobile phone while driving to increase in Uzbekistan
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued on October 22, 2018, an amendment was made to the code of Administrative responsibility, telegram channel of the Ministry of Justice reports.
The law envisages increasing the fine for using mobile phone while driving. From now onwards, drivers will have to pay three times the minimum wage for committing the above-mentioned offense.
If the same act of crime is repeated within a year after the issuance of the administrative penalty, the amount of fine will increase up to four times the minimum wage or may even cause the driver to be deprived of the driving rights for six months.
