The first joint faculty with an Austrian university opened in Uzbekistan

On October 22, 2018, the opening of the first joint Uzbek-Austrian faculty in our country, which was established in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences of Austria (IMC University Krems), was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics.

A delegation led by the chief executive officer of the University, Professor Karl Ennsfellner, arrived in Tashkent to participate in the solemn ceremony.

IMC University Krems was founded in 1994 as a private International Business School. In April 2002, the Government of Austria raised the status of this institution and renamed it the University of Applied Sciences of Austria.

Currently, IMC University Krems is one of the most financially secure and elite universities in Austria. It offers 29 degree programmes, and has 2,700 students, 560 lecturers, as well as 141 partner universities in 36 countries. With three locations in and around Krems, the university offers bachelor and master degree programmes in business, health sciences and life sciences. Besides full-time courses, some programmes are also offered in a part-time format. Professional development training courses in languages and hospital hygiene are also available.

Starting from 2019, the joint faculty will begin training 100 bachelors in such spheres as export-oriented management, tourism and hotel administration.

Trainings will be carried out in English, and upon completion graduates will receive dual degrees from TSUE and IMC University Krems.
