Mufti Usmankhan Alimov enters the list of 500 most influential Muslims

Usmankhan Alimov, Mufti and Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, is included in the list of 500 most influential Muslims in the world.
The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan, in cooperation with Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in the United States, has published the 10th edition of The Muslim 500.
This year’s ranking was topped by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was ranked fifth last year. The second and the third places were taken by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein of Jordan respectively.
Among the well-known personalities, The Muslim 500 also includes the former President of Turkey Abdullah Gül, the ex-PM of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
This year, for the first time, the world champion in mixed martial arts, the Russian athlete Khabib Nurmagomedov, has entered the list of the most influential Muslims.
