Uzbek-German summit to be held in 2019

On October 31, 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Parliamentary Group of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany headed by Manfred Grund, the press service of the MFA reports.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, primarily between the Oliy Majlis and the Bundestag, were discussed. The parties considered the issues of cooperation in the field of legislative support for further development of political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian relations.

It was stressed that both sides are interested in successfully holding the Uzbek-German summit in 2019, which is expected to raise the comprehensive dialogue between Uzbekistan and Germany to a new level.

Günter Overfeld, the German Ambassador, did also attend the meeting.
