Trade accounted for the largest number of foreign-invested enterprises, with 7,637 companies, accounting for roughly 36% of the total. Industry followed with 4,177 enterprises, highlighting continued foreign interest in Uzbekistan’s manufacturing sector.

Information and communication ranked third, with 1,840 companies, followed by construction with 1,769. The figures point to growing foreign investment in the country’s digital economy and infrastructure.

Other sectors included accommodation and food services, with 945 enterprises; transportation and storage, with 665; and agriculture, forestry and fishing, with 541.

Healthcare and social services accounted for 247 companies, while other sectors combined made up 3,669 enterprises.

Over the past five years, the total number of operating enterprises with foreign investment increased 1.7-fold, while the share of foreign enterprises in the total rose from 56.2% to 77.9%.

China ranked first by the number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan, with 6,436 companies, followed by Russia with 3,589, Türkiye with 2,365, Kazakhstan with 1,345, the Republic of Korea with 739, Afghanistan with 725, Azerbaijan with 503, Tajikistan with 483, the United Arab Emirates with 464, and India with 446.
