Within the framework of the visit to Bukhara, Uzbekistan, chairman of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky and deputies of the faction met with representatives of the Parliament of Uzbekistan as well as toured the historical sights of the ancient city.
“We are pleased that the Republic of Uzbekistan is headed by such an energetic and competent leader as Shavkat Mirziyoyev. His presidential activity deserves respect,” Vladimir Zhirinovsky said.
In addition, the LDPR leader shared his opinion on the needs to improve well-being of the citizens of Uzbekistan.
“Once here, there were the hardest living conditions, deserts, sand, heat, lack of water. Now everything has changed, but I am convinced that the private sector needs to be developed. It is necessary to create conditions, so that people do what they love, this is all about development of the private sector. Then people will work not because they have to, but on their own will,” the politician noted.
According to him, it is also necessary to restore the state industry and to re-launch the activities of stopped plants.
“And here the Russian language will help us to unite the nations. We all have grown up in this common culture. We remember the films that were shot at the filming studios in Tashkent and we still happily watch them in Russia. Here, historical names should remain, for example, why the western word “governor” should be taken if one can say “emir”. And the streets of the Uzbek cities should be called by the names of the people who lived here, glorified the country. This is necessary in order not to forget our history. We also support this in Russia,” Vladimir Zhirinovsky said.
During his visit to Bukhara, Vladimir Zhirinovsky was shown the pride of Bukhara - the palace “Sitorai Mokhi Khosa” - Emir’s residence.
It is interesting that not only Uzbek architects took part in the construction of the complex, but also two Russian engineers specially invited for this to Bukhara. Now “Sitorai Mokhi Khosa”, named after the wife of the Emir, rightfully takes its place among other monuments of world architecture.
“We need to strengthen cooperation with Central Asia, also, in the field of tourism,” said the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that such cooperation will be beneficial for both Uzbekistan and Russia.
