The Prosecutor General’s office to create a special group of experts to analyze the causes of crimes
At the prosecutor’s office, special expert-analytical groups will be created, whose work will be to systematically analyze the causes of crimes, Kun.uz correspondent reports referring to the presidential decree.
New groups will act on a voluntary basis under the leadership of district and city prosecutors. The first experimental structures will be organized in Shaykhantakhur district from February 1, 2019, in other areas of the capital from July 1, 2019, throughout the country – as per the results of the experiment.
In addition, within the framework of the document, effective from December 1, 2018, Information Center of the Ministry of Interior and its territorial subdivisions, as well as the Operational-Reference Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be abolished.
The main tasks of the establishment are the organization and maintenance of operational-reference records for the use of prevention, detection, disclosure and investigation of offenses, ensuring that the alleged criminals are listed in the local and interstate search, maintaining archival-reference and special funds of the internal affairs bodies.
It will also be engaged in the collection, compilation, processing, accumulation and provision of information on administrative offenses with their integration into centralized information systems of the internal affairs bodies and other state organizations.
Another important area is the maintenance of an automated data bank on vehicles, civilian and service weapons, wanted persons and objects, as well as other information contributing to effective crime prevention and crime control.
