Employees of the Prosecutor’s Office were offered bribes in over 80 cases in January-October 2018
The Prosecutor-General’s Office has recorded more than 80 cases of bribery in 2018, the press service of the state body reports.
“During the first 10 months of this year, there were 81 attempts to bribe the employees of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Compulsory Enforcement Officers and other units,” the statement said.
Total amount of bribes offered during this period was $ 28.1 thousand and 49 million sums.
“A legal action, within the framework of the State Legislation, had been taken for each case. It should be noted that large-scale anti-corruption measures are continuing in Uzbekistan. There are a number of cases involving misconduct, bribery and extortion,” the press service’s message reads.
