Uzbek footballers to contend for the “Cup of tolerance” in St. Petersburg
The national team of natives of Uzbekistan living in St. Petersburg will take part in the international tournament on mini-football “Cup of Tolerance”. It is held every year in the hall of “Sports Center of Kalininsky District”.
The tournament will take place on November 24-25. Games will be held on the Olympic system - the losing team will immediately abandon and the winner will move to the next round.
In total, about 30 clubs will compete for the “Cup of Tolerance”. Among them are “Ingria” (representing the Ingermanland Finns), “Amanat” (representing the Bashkirs living in St. Petersburg), the national team of Kazakh students who study at the Military Medical Academy, the Ossetian team, the Tajiks and many others.
According to Sputnik Uzbekistan information told by Bobomurod Kurbanov, head of the Uzbek team, it will be called “Fraternity”. Backbone of the Uzbek national team will consist of members of the "Fraternity of Uzbek Youth", but the team was also invited strong players among migrant workers.
Uzbek football players are planning to hit at least the top three prizewinners.
