One of streets in New Tashkent to be named as St. Petersburg
Shavkat Mirziyoyev informed Vladimir Putin that one of the streets of New Tashkent will be called “St. Petersburg”.

During a meeting with Vladimir Putin, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the decision to name one of the streets of Tashkent in honor of the cultural capital of the Russian Federation.
The Russian leader responded by saying that it would be the most beautiful.
The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, also responded to Uzbekistan’s initiative.
“This decision is a great honor for our city and a symbol of our close, friendly relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan and the city of Tashkent. Partnership with Uzbekistan has been and remains one of the key priorities of St. Petersburg in the field of international cooperation,” the head of St. Petersburg emphasized.
