Dushanbe, Tashkent to allocate areas for the construction of embassies
This week, the lower house of the Tajik Parliament intends to ratify an intergovernmental agreement between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed in March 2018 on the mutual allocation of lands for the construction of embassies in Dushanbe and Tashkent.
In accordance with the correspondent of AP at the Tajik parliament, Uzbekistan will assign one hectare of land in Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent for the construction of the embassy of Tajikistan. It will be located next to the Kazakh Embassy in Uzbekistan.
In turn, Tajikistan will allocate one hectare of land for the construction of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Dushanbe next to the embassies of Russia, Iran and Afghanistan.
A few days ago, the above agreement was ratified by the parliament of Uzbekistan.
Tajik Embassy in Uzbekistan is currently located in Tashkent on Abdulla Kakhhor Street, 61. The Ambassador of Tajikistan in Uzbekistan is Imomi Sodik Ashurboyzoda.
Uzbek Embassy in Tajikistan is located in Dushanbe on Sanoi Street, 30. The ambassador of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan is Ergash Shoismatov.
