State Tax Committee eye to co-op with India on introducing ICT in tax system
At the State Tax Committee (STC), a meeting was held with the delegation of India. It was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technologies, “VisionCraft” and “Securitarian” companies dealing with complex issues of the formation of data centers (DC).
During the meeting, the Indian representatives familiarized themselves with the main provisions of the Concept of development of the tax policy of Uzbekistan. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Scientific-Information Center for New Technologies (SICNT) under the STC and the achievements of this institution in the field of data processing. The Indian partners were greatly interested in the announced plans of Uzbekistan to introduce modern innovative technologies in the tax sphere and to further develop and improve the creation of DC.
An important topic of negotiations was the implementation of joint projects in such areas as information and communication technologies, development and management of data processing centers. The parties noted the importance of sharing unsurpassed practices in the field of information security and improving the qualifications of IT specialists.
Evidently, India has gained rich experience in the field of IT. In this regard, development of criteria for increasing the speed of data analysis and processing, training of specialists directly working in these centers, development of a unified inter-agency data processing platform for identifying an additional taxable base are identified as priority areas for DC development cooperation. The parties expressed a reciprocal interest on the need for the speedy practical implementation of the reached agreements.
