Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in the Ministerial meeting “Central Asia - European Union”
On November 23, 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in the inter-regional ministerial meeting “Central Asia - European Union”, which was held in Brussels.
The heads of foreign ministries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the European Union discussed in detail the current state and prospects of cooperation in the political, economic and investment spheres. The issues of collaboration in the field of sustainable development, climate change, environment and water resources, as well as security were also considered.
Representatives of the Central Asian countries welcomed the decision of the EU to develop and adopt by the end of 2019 a new Strategy on Central Asia and made specific proposals to improve its effectiveness.
During the plenary session and meetings, the sides exchanged views on regional and international issues.
