Number of Uzbek students in the U.S. is increasing
The number of foreign students in the United States over the past three years has exceeded one million, increasing by 1.5% and reaching the mark of 1,094,792 people, “Open Doors” international education organization reported.
According to the US diplomatic mission in Tashkent, the number of students from Uzbekistan studying in the US increased by 12.9% compared to last year and reached 570 people. Of these, almost 50% are studying in bachelor’s degree programs and the rest are in masters or other non-degree programs, such as language learning courses.
Note that the United States still ranks first in the number of foreign students from around the world. According to the US Department of Commerce, the presence of foreign students had a significant financial impact on the United States in 2017. They infused $ 42.4 billion into the US economy by paying tuition fees and spending on other facilities such as accommodation, food and others.
