Uzbek government approved the regulation on State Ecological Expertise
According to the report of telegram channel of the Ministry of Justice, the government’s decision on the State Ecological Expertise was approved.
In accordance with the regulation, ecological expertise is conducted to determine the level of ecological hazard for economic and other activities that are in progress or may have a negative impact on the environment and on the health of citizens.
Ecological expertise is carried out by:
1. The State Unitarian Enterprise (SUE) “Center for State Ecological Expertise”. It will conduct expertise on:
• objects with a special legal regime on types of activity of the highest and average degree of danger;
• documents on creation of new types of products, technology, materials and substances;
• town-planning documentation of objects with population of more than 50,000 people.
2. The SUE “Center for State Ecological Expertise” of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city. They will conduct expertise on:
• preliminary scheme and project documentations that are of low risk and local impact;
• town-planning documentations of objects with population of 50,000 people or less.
Payment for the state ecological expertise is determined by the environmental impact categories as follows:
• highly hazardous impacting objects - 25 times the minimum monthly wage;
• moderately hazardous impacting objects - 15 times the minimum monthly wage;
• low-risk hazardous impacting objects - 7.5 times the minimum monthly wage;
• local impacting objects - 0.5 times the minimum monthly wage.
