Customs officers discovered storage of contraband worth over 25 million sums in Andijan region

Employees of Anti-Smuggling and Combating Customs Legislation Infringement Department at the Customs Service of Andijan region have detected a subsequent violation.

According to the received operative information, a citizen T. D., resident of Shakhrikhon district, turned his own house into a warehouse for goods. The house owner consented to check his house and it was examined in an appropriate manner with the participation of attesting witnesses.

Consequently, it was identified that there were 41 color TV sets in the cellar that were illegally imported into our country. Total value of the smuggled goods was 25.7 million sums.

Currently, customs inspections are being conducted on the case.
