Uzbek tennis players participate successfully at the “Futures” men’s tournament in Pakistan
The International Tennis Federation is holding the “Futures” men’s tournament in Islamabad, Pakistan.
In the second round of the singles competitions, an Uzbek tennis player Saida’lo Saidkarimov defeated Italian Lorenzo Boschi with a score of 6:4 in both sets and secured the match in the quarter-finals against South Korean Cheong Kim.
Also, during the first round of the doubles match, Saida'lo and his Russian partner Dmitry Myagkov competed with the host players Musa Chodar and Malik Abdul Rakhmon. The pair of our athlete won as 6:0 in both sets.
Another Uzbek tennis player Shonigmatjon Shofayziyev together with the Serbian Darko Jandric defeated a pair of Pakistani Akhmed Chodar and Shakhzad Khan by 6:4, 5:7, 11-9.
Now, at the quarter-finals, a pair of Saida'lo and Dmitry will be competing with the Russian doubles Alexander Pavlyuchenko and Vladimir Polyakov, including Shonigmatjon and Darko against Pakistani Mukhammad Abid and Canadian Mukhammad Vagas Malik.
