Uzbekistan to set minimum monthly wage of teachers as $ 200
The minimum monthly wage of teachers from January 1, 2019 will be over 1,64 million soums (about $ 200), Kun.uz correspondent reported referring to the draft decree “Budget for Citizens for 2019”, prepared by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the dimensional grid, from January 1, 2019, teachers of primary and secondary schools will receive from 1,614 million soums to 2,225 million soums ($ 268), depending on their category.
The principal will receive from 2,236 million to 2,532 million soums ($ 269-305).
The salary of deputy directors will be little over 2,387 million soums ($ 287), psychologists – 1,453 million ($ 175), and librarians - more than 966 thousand soums ($ 116).
In addition, allowances of up to 10 % of the minimum wage will be paid for class guidance, up to 50 % for checking notebooks and up to 40 % for professional skills.
