Chairman of the Senate: 800 projects worth $ 1.5 billion will be implemented in the next two years

It is expected that in the period from 2019 to 2021, 800 projects worth $ 1.5 billion will be implemented in Uzbekistan. This is reported by Nigmatilla Yuldashev, the Chairman of the Senate, at the seventeenth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
“Implementing the social and economic reforms initiated by the President is the proof of Uzbekistan’s humanitarian policy. For this purpose, $ 1.5 billion will be directed,” he said.
The head of state instructed to develop and introduce a unified draft law on investment activity aimed at creating the most favorable conditions for investment in the time period until January 1, 2019.
In compliance with this instruction, the Law “On Investments and Investment Activities” has been developed in Uzbekistan. It is placed on the interactive services portal for assessing the impact of legislative acts, and will be open for public discussion until December 21.
