Resident of Kamashi district of Kashkadarya region Makhmaraim Jabborov, 63, introduced himself as a colonel to a local citizen and declared that he was an employee of the special operations department at the Ministry of Defense. He then promised to help the man to get a job at the State Security Service (SSS) for $ 8000.
Employees of the State Security Service of Kashkadarya region caught the suspect red-handed in the cafe “Khunarmand” on Iftikhor Street of Kamashi district while receiving $ 4000 from the intended $ 8000.
In the course of operational activities it was found out that Makhmaraim Jabborov has been using a fake document attesting that he is an employee of the department of special operations at the Ministry of Defense.
A similar case was recorded in Khorezm region. Dilshod Ruzmetov, 39, a resident of Khiva, gained the trust of people by introducing himself as a member of the State Security Service and became engaged in extortion.
It turned out that Dilshod Ruzmetov promised several citizens to assist in obtaining land plot. For this purpose, he collected $ 100,000 from the people.
Criminal cases have been initiated on the above-mentioned unlawful activities under articles 168 and 211 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are underway.
