Uzbek government creates separate mobile communications system for officials

The National Project Management Agency has launched, tested and exploited a pilot governmental mobile communications system in compliance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Such system provides confidentiality, mobility, security and budget savings for telecommunications services, including while being abroad.
From April 1, 2019, the system is mandatory for use by employees of state bodies, organizations, local government bodies, diplomatic missions abroad during the performance of official responsibilities.
It should be recalled that creation of a governmental system was envisaged by a presidential decree in mid-April.
