Uzbekistan, EU to strengthen cooperation in energy sector
A meeting, dedicated to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the energy sector between Uzbekistan and the European Union, was held in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the sides noted that bilateral cooperation in trade-economic and political spheres is expanding.
Information on the energy policy of the European Union (EU), the work carried out by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the continental strategy of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IREA) were made public.
The parties exchanged views on introducing renewable energy sources, strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, including in the energy sector and identified specific areas for future cooperation.
