Uzbekistan to introduce an institute for competent economic operators
Reportedly, large-scale reforms implemented in the customs sphere have a positive impact on the dynamics of customs payments. Particularly, during January-November 2018, 10 trillion 408 billion sums of customs payments were collected from the imported goods into our republic.
Customs concessions worth over 41 trillion 394.6 billion sums were used for the purpose of further developing entrepreneurship and ensuring the development of industries. In general, this is about 80% of the total customs payments.
This was stated at a press conference of the State Customs Committee.
In addition, as a result of the rapid operational activities by customs officers in the past 11 months of this year, 11,066 violations were revealed, the seized goods and material assets worth 136 billion sums were confiscated for the benefit of the state.
It was noted at the conference that on February 1, 2019, in order to provide the right of access to simplified customs procedures for the honest participants of foreign economic activity, an institute for competent economic operators that is developed by the international standards will be introduced in the country.
