Uzbekistan was ranked 105th by Forbes for doing business

Forbes has published an annual ranking of the best countries for doing business. In the list of 161 countries, Uzbekistan was ranked 105th, preceded by Cape Verde (104) and followed by Bhutan (106).
The magazine rates are based on a number of criteria: ownership, degree of innovation, taxation, technology, corruption, freedom (personal, commercial and financial), bureaucracy and investor rights protection.
In 2017, Uzbekistan was in 99th place, but then there were less countries (153) in the ranking.
The best indicator among the CIS countries belongs to Russia (55th place) and among the countries of Central Asia - Kazakhstan (65th place).
The first place, as it was in the previous year, was taken by the United Kingdom. The second went to Sweden, the third – Hong Kong.
In addition, the top ten includes the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Singapore, Australia and Switzerland.
The worst places for doing business, in accordance with the Forbes rating, are the Central African Republic, Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.
