New law imposes fines on state agencies for unlawful report demands from businesses
The responsibility of state agencies in Uzbekistan regarding the request for reports from businesses has been heightened.
A new law, signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, introduces penalties for agencies that demand reports outside the officially approved list or fail to adhere to set deadlines and procedures.
According to the amendments to Article 241-10 of Uzbekistan’s Administrative Responsibility Code, any state body requesting statistical, financial, or tax reports not included in the unified list of reports and statistical data from business entities, or asking for reports listed but outside the approved timeframes and procedures, will face fines ranging from 20 to 40 times the base calculation unit (BCU).
This measure aims to simplify the process of report submission for businesses and reduce unnecessary bureaucratic burdens. By enforcing these regulations, Uzbekistan seeks to streamline administrative processes and create a more business-friendly environment.
