Eight streets to be closed for traffic in Tashkent for three weeks

 In the center of Tashkent, eight streets will be temporarily closed for movement for almost three weeks, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

“In connection with the beginning of the New Year festivities that are held in the city, the police department jointly with the capital’s administration has blocked traffic from December 24, 2018 to January 10, 2019 on eight streets in the center of Tashkent,” the capital’s administration reported.

These streets include:

•  Buyuk Turon Street - from A. Navoiy St. to Islom Karimov St.;

•  Zarafshon Street - from A. Navoiy St. to Islom Karimov St.;

•  Matbuotchilar Street - from Sh. Rashidov St. to A. Temur Square;

•  Bukhoro Street - from Buyuk Turon St. to Taras Shevchenko St.;

•  Istiklol Street - from Buyuk Turon St. to Mustakillik St.;

•  Mustakillik Street - from Zarafshon St. to A. Temur Square;

•  Sebzor Street - from A. Navoiy St. to the Circus building;

•  Suggali Ota Street - from Zargarlik St. to Dilband St.

If necessary, traffic may also be temporarily limited to the following locations during the celebration period: Shopping Center “Compass” (Kuylyuk area), Palace of Arts “Istiklol”, Shopping Center “NEXT”, Bektemir district’s Palace of Culture and Recreation, Central Park “Mirzo Ulugbek”, Green park (Sergeli district), Eco Park, Tashkent Zoo, Cultural and Recreational Park “Ashkhabad”.
