Uzbek, Tajik border troops hold first ever military council in Syrdarya region

Border troops of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan held the first ever military council, the State Security Service of Uzbekistan noted.

It was held in Gulistan city of Syrdarya region, Uzbekistan on Dec. 21-22.

During the council meeting, the sides discussed situation on the borders with Afghanistan, outlined the cooperation plan for the coming year and reaffirmed their commitment to development of cooperation between border services of two countries.
