Private organizations to be permitted to engage in security activities
In accordance with the presidential decree, a roadmap, on enhancing public safety in Uzbekistan in 2019, has been approved. “Legal Information” channel reports about it.
The roadmap envisages the implementation of the following measures to increase the effectiveness of public safety:
- Taking measures to further improve security activities, in particular, permitting the provision of security services to non-governmental organizations;
- Procurement of mobile video cameras for road patrol units of internal affairs bodies and tablets with electronic system for the registration and reviewing of administrative offenses;
- Arrangement of separate rooms at healthcare institutions of each district (city) for the purpose of temporary isolation and rehabilitation of persons who are under sharp alcohol intoxication and endangering the law order.
