Asian Cup sets a separate penalty for delaying the time with simulation during a match 

On January 3, a meeting was held between the Uzbek national team’s members, officials and representatives of the AFC.  

It was attended by the AFC General Coordinator for the “Rashid Stadium” in Dubai Suminori Goko, manager for holding competitions Hovand Masud, Lorenzo Fofi, marketing manager Kyu Syao, media department representatives Laura Rodriguez Rey and Aleabadi Ziyod Muhammad, as well as FIFA and AFC instructor Farkhod Abdullayev, the press service of the UFA reported. 

Delivering a speech, Suminori Goko stated that he was pleased to see the Uzbek national team in the competition and wished them good luck in the Asian Cup. Then, he shared information on all the official events that the team members have to attend during the competition.  
 
In addition, FIFA and UFA instructor Farkhod Abdullayev drew attention to few changed rules that players should pay attention to during the Asian Cup. Mr. Abdullayev said that the referees who are off the field would be asked to observe the matches until the quarter-finals of the AFC. Starting from the quarter-finals, the VAR system will replace them. 

Additionally, during the competition, the team will pay a fine of $ 1,000 for simulations with the purpose of delay-of-game timer and pulling off the opponent hand. It was revealed that referees were instructed to punish severely the actions of players who try to hit the opponent’s face unnoticed by referees while attempting to catch the ball in the air.  
 
Farkhod Abdullayev presented short videos to coaches and players about the situations in the game and explained what to pay attention to not to be punished by the referee. 
 
Following the meeting, a photo and video session was held involving the members of the Uzbek national team.  

 Moreover, a separate rally was held for team managers and delegates. It was attended by head of the UFA Department for International Relations Sharofiddin Khojiniyozov, head of the International Relations Department Diyor Isametdinov, deputy head of the International Relations Department Olim Arifov, chief of the UFA press service Yokubjon Bobojonov, national team’s administrators Sarvar Tadjiev and Shukrullo Ashurov. 


 
During the gathering, particpants were given important information about national teams’ training, attending and ending the matches, pre- and post-press conferences, flash-interviews and other official events. Finally, national teams were accredited by the AFC. 
 
At the rally, the head physician of the Uzbek national team Abror Pirriyev, doctors and massaging staff also participated. They were provided information on the rules that must be followed during the game.
