Uzbekistan U23 opens Asian Cup campaign against Lebanon today
Uzbekistan’s under-23 national team will play its opening match of the Asian Cup against Lebanon. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tashkent time on January 7.

Coached by Ravshan Khaydarov, the Uzbek side competes in Group C, where it will also face South Korea and Iran.
The tournament is taking place from January 6 to 24 in Saudi Arabia. 16 teams are competing in the games. Qualification took place in September 2025.
It should be noted that the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup is not designated as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games.
